Diva Dare Creation: Petals & Wings

In preparation for Mother's Day this weekend, I have a card to share that includes both petals and wings for Verve's Diva Dare this month. The oversized butterfly from the newly released Die Sidekicks stamp set was my focal point for this emboss resist technique. I stamped the image in Versamark ink and then heat embossed it with clear embossing powder.

The background of the butterfly is inked up with Peacock Feathers, Shabby Shutters and Pine Needles distress inks. I added two layered die cut flowers topped with white DIY enamel dots. The Mother's Day sentiment from the On Occasion stamp set is stamped in Bermuda Bay ink. Two deep turquoise DIY enamel dots finish off the card front.

Here's a close-up:

Do you have your cards done for Mother's Day yet?  I'm getting there...
