Tiddly Inks Challenge - Anything Goes!

Hi, everyone! It's a very happy Tuesday over at the Tiddly Inks Challenge Blog today as we kick off another challenge! This time, anything goes!! My card features one of the latest new release images - Elfy Holidays.

My layout was inspired by this MFT sketch. To create the zig zag wedges, I masked off each section with post-it note tape and blended on fresh mint pigment ink from Mama Elephant.

Since the image itself was so large, I didn't have much room for a sentiment. Instead of leaving one off, I decided to add one to the background and repeat it across the bottom so you could tell what it says.

I'm really happy with the way it turned out! For interest, I added a mini jingle bell to the end of the cap and glossy accents to the ornaments and to the tips of each boot.

For a fun inside sentiment, I played around with my Ellen Hutson Merry & Bright by Julie stamp set. Using my Misti, I first stamped the holly leaves in Wild Wasabi (SU), followed by the berries and "Christmas" in Cherry Cobbler (SU), and finally the "wishing you..." in Memento Tuxedo Black.

I do hope these new releases have inspired you to get a jump start on your holiday cards. Don't forget to checkout the other DT makes and come play along with us too!!

Here's my latest Fabby Friday make using Reindeer Games. I will also be entering this card into the Christmas challenges mentioned at the end of this post. These new releases have definitely gotten me into the Christmas spirit!

I distressed some of the layers before blending on mowed lawn and forest moss distress inks to the edges. The scalloped layer is popped up with foam tape. The sentiment tags swing freely and are attached with black twine.

You definitely need to get your hands on these new images here. Thanks for stopping by!

Bear Hugs

Hi everyone!! I have a card I made several months ago that I'm just getting around to getting up on the blog. This card highlights several Mama Elephant dies and the Bear Hugs stamp set. I masked off the bears before blending on some distress ink to create the grassy area.

The sentiment is actually from the Paper Smooches Happy Camper stamp set. Here's a close-up of the two bears.

Have a great week! Thanks for stopping by!!

Wedding Watercolor Card

Hi everyone! Today, I have a lovely wedding card I made for a friend. I used my Zig markers to create the pastel wash and to color the heat embossed flowers.

The Verve sentiment is stamped 2nd generation with black dye ink to give it a softer gray appearance which compliments the patterned paper.
