Tiddly Inks: Gentle Spring Colors Challenge

Hi, everyone! Today, we are debuting a new Gentle Spring Colors challenge over at Tiddly Inks using this gorgeous color combo. For this Easter card, I used one of the adorable bunnies included in the Wryn Somebunny Loves You digital stamp set.

Isn't he the softest, most cuddly bunny ever? I colored him up before I designed the layout of my card so he's a bit larger than I would have liked. He's practically popping off the page!

So now it's your turn to link up with our gentle spring color combo challenge. I can't wait to see what you come up with! Thanks for stopping by!!

Happy Birthday Sketched Blooms

Hi, everyone!! Today, I'm finally getting around to sharing a recent birthday card I made using the Sketched Blooms stamp set from My Favorite Things. This is a fantastic set!!

I started off by masking the outer edge of the stitched rectangle layer and then blended on squeezed lemonade, spiced marmalade, fired brick, and seedless preserves distress inks. With the mask still in place, I stamped the flowers in Versafine black onyx ink. The sentiment is stamped in white pigment ink and then heat embossed in white on the popped up banner. The top layer is also secured to a white card base with foam tape.

Happy Easter

Today is a glorious day as our family celebrates Easter Sunday. The kids and I started our Easter celebrations yesterday as we saw The Living Passover - a fantastic production centered around the real reason for today. Then our entire family attended our first Easter ever at Waters Edge Church! Wow, was that ever a remarkable service and experience! It was awesome and so much fun!

Fast forward a few hours... the Easter Bunny was burning the midnight oil last night putting the finishing touches on the kids' Easter baskets.

The tags are created from the bread tag die in the Stampin' Up chalk talk set. The bunny, egg, and flowers are from the Paper Smooches spring fling stamp set with coordinating dies. The stitched banner is secured with foam tape to add dimension.

Challenges Entered:

And in a few minutes we will be off to visit Pop-Pop and Elaine for our annual Easter Egg hunt and a delicious feast. My sister and her family will join us too. Rain or shine, it will be a fantastic day!

Monstrous Party

Hi, everyone! I sure am glad it's Friday! Are you planning to get crafty with your Tiddly Inks stamps this weekend? I hope so!! Here is a recent birthday card I created for a friend of my four-year-old son using the Monstrous Party digital stamp.

I masked off the lower portion of the card before blending on some mowed lawn distress ink. The monsters are colored with Copics and popped up with foam tape. I stamped the sentiment and chevron border along the bottom with Versafine Onyx Black ink.

Tiddly Inks Challenge #178: Scrap It

Hi, everyone!! We're kicking off a new Scrap It challenge today on the Tiddly Inks Challenge blog. I've decided to start a gratitude journal so I began with altering a standard composition notebook.

I measured cardstock to fit the front and back covers of the notebook and secured everything with 2-inch wide scor-tape. I created the quote in Silhouette Design Studio and colored in the letters with my Spica gel pens. Here's the back - before and after:

Poppy Wryn is colored with Copics and secured to the front with foam tape.

I highly recommend you try this for yourself. It was lots of fun creating my journal. I am thankful for having the creativity and courage to try something new.

Need more inspiration?

Skatin' By

Hi everyone! It's Fabby Friday and the design team and I over at Tiddly Inks have some incredible inspiration to get you in the crafty mood this weekend. Here's my card using Skater Wryn.

Last weekend we attended a birthday party at our local ice rink. I had made this card but then my daughter decided to make her own card for her friend. So I ended up using a neutral sentiment good for any occasion.

I trimmed the panel with a stitched rectangle die, colored her with Copics, and added two strands of purple and navy twine on the diagonal. A few crystal clear sequins and some lavender stickles along the neck and cuffs finish off the card.

I hope you have a chance to get crafty this weekend. For more inspiration, view projects from the rest of the design team. You'll be blown away by their talent! Thanks for stopping by!!

Tiddly Inks Challenge #177 - Easter

Hi, everyone! Today we are kicking off a new Easter challenge over at Tiddly Inks. I am using the newest release - Wryn - My Happy Thought. She makes me happy just looking at her!

I printed the digital image on cryogen white cardstock and then die cut it with a stitched rectangle. I wanted to pull in some Easter print cardstock so after I had her colored with Copics, I fussy cut her out, leaving the stitched edge along the left side and across the bottom.

I popped her up with foam tape to add some dimension and added Wink of Stella in clear to her leggings and shoes. A touch of pink Spica glitter pen added to the ruffle under her skirt sparkles nicely in person.

Don't forget to checkout the other design team inspiration for today's Easter theme. I do hope you have a chance to play along with us these next two weeks. I look forward to seeing your work and leaving some comments too.
