Tiddly Inks: Fairy Happy Challenge

Hi everyone! Today we are kicking off another fun challenge over at the Tiddly Inks Challenge Blog. We want to see your adorable fairy creations. Have you checked out the Fairy & Fantasy collection yet? Christy has tons of gorgeous images that meet the criteria for this challenge.

For my card, I used Fairy Tenderhearted in a onesie shaped card that I gave to a friend for her baby shower. I love how it turned out!! I blended on some light distress ink to soften the light pink textured cardstock on the straps before added some buttons threaded with yellow twine.

Copics:

B-0000/00/02/04/06
E-00/02/11/33/35/37/39/50/53/55/57/59
YR-000/00/31
R-0000/00/30/32
G-24/40
BV-20
W-00/1

Glossy accents to the floral head piece, blue bird, and the egg waiting to hatch finish off the card.

I hope you have a chance to play along with us in this challenge. Link up your cards and projects here so we can leave you some lovely comments! I can't wait to see how you are inspired by this theme!

Thanks for stopping by!!

Flower Mini Take #2

Hi everyone! Hooray! It's Friday!! My Tiddly Inks inspiration for the weekend is another birthday card using the watercolor lifting and heat embossing technique shared by Jennifer McGuire. I enjoyed making these cards so much that I made two - this time using Windsor Newton watercolor tubes and the Curtis background stamp for the happy panel.

I layered the happy panel with two more die cut layers of Neenah Solar White #110 cardstock before securing it to the card base. Flower mini is colored up with Copics and secured to the panel with glossy accents. To change up the happy birthday sentiment, I used my Lawn Fawn scripty sayings stamp set and stamped it in SU Calypso Coral dye ink.

I mailed this card to my Aunt Rita who is a fellow papercrafter in Jersey. She appreciates all things handmade and I hope it brought some joy to her special day. Here's another close up:

Tiddly Inks Creature Feature

Hi, everyone! At the last minute, I changed up the project that I was going to feature in today's new Creature Feature challenge. Over the weekend, Christy shared some fabulous new sea creatures with the design team so I quickly colored up Squiddy Inkin' of You and PB Jellyfish.

I printed the sentiment on white cardstock, shaped it into a banner and then sponged on shaded lilac, seedless preserves, and dusty concord distress inks to match Squiddy and the purple card base.

Once I had them colored up with Copics, I added glossy accents to the entire jellyfish and to Squiddy's spectacles. I wanted to give a translucent effect to the jellyfish and a more realistic look to the eyeglasses.

I do hope you can join us in our creature feature challenge. There are lots of brand spankin' new images to play with in the store and some oldie but goodies too! I look forward to seeing what you come up with!!

Flower Mini Tiddly Inks Fabby Friday

Hi, everyone! I hope you're looking forward to the weekend wherever you are. I'm always glad when Friday gets here. Fortunately, this week was Spring Break and I managed to take Wednesday off from work for some much needed crafting time. Felt good to get some birthday cards done and get caught up on my DT blog posts.

Today, I have a birthday card to share using Tiddly Inks Flower Mini. I created the colorful panel with my Zig markers in lilac, violet, light violet, and purple using Jennifer McGuire's watercolor lifting and heat embossing technique. You can see her video tutorial here.

To give the panel some dimension, I die cut the entire panel two more times in 110# Neenah Solar White cardstock and layered them together behind the colorful watercolor cardstock panel. I colored Flower Mini with Copics and secured her to the front with glossy accents and added wink of stella in clear to the flowers. A sentiment from the exclusive Simon Says Stamp birthday celebration stamp set finishes off the card. If I remember correctly, this was a free gift I received with my order using a promo code that was emailed to me during my birthday month.

If you're looking for more crafty inspiration this weekend, check out the other projects created by other members of the Tiddly Inks design team. They rocked it as usual!!
