Baseball Box Card

Good morning! I will be entering this box card that I made for my nephew's first birthday into the current Daring Cardmakers Challenge.

I used a digital file from the Silhouette Design Store for the box card itself and I designed the name plate in Design Studio. The birthday sentiments on each side are stamps and dies from Verve Stamps.

Everett actually had his first birthday party at that Richmond Flying Squirrels baseball game. It was a joint party with his older brother who turned three. We had a great time visiting with the mascot, Nutsy, and watching Blake throw out the first pitch.

My son, Jackson, even went home with his first game baseball. One perk for having front-row seats!!

Congrats & MarkerPop Design Team Call

Hi, everyone! There is a fabulous opportunity available to three special people if they are selected for the MarkerPop design team. The call ends on Friday, June 3rd. What are you waiting for?

I've been a huge fan of MarkerPop for a while now and I often participate in their monthly challenges. Last year, I was honored to be invited as a guest designer on their blog. I love to color with Copics and my Zig clean color real brush markers. So, I am putting my name in the hat for a chance to be on their design team! Wow! What an opportunity that would be!!

Today, I have a card I created for a friend who recently retired using my Zig markers. First, I stamped the flowers from the My Favorite Things sketched blooms stamp set in Versafine onyx black ink onto watercolor card stock. I colored them up and then die cut the panel with my stitched oval die.

I die cut the sentiment once from the stitched oval as well as a few more times out of black and white card stock. I glued all four words together using glossy accents making sure the watercolored layer was on top. Once I had the sentiment secure, I added a coat of glossy accents for some shine.

To keep the card front from becoming too busy, I simply die cut a stitched panel from MFT Blueprints #26 out of black card stock and added a pink diamond satin ribbon to the card base.

Don't forget to apply for the MarkerPop design team call. It's a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity if you are enthusiastic about card design, coloring, and inspiring the creativity of others!!

Tiddly Inks: Happy Birthday Challenge

Hi, everyone! Today we are kicking off a new Happy Birthday themed challenge over at Tiddly Inks. I am featuring Hopping By Wryn this week. My daughter recently attended a birthday party for a friend at a Bounce House party place so I wanted the card to have a bouncy theme. This adorable Wryn hopping by on her pogo stick seemed to fit the bill and the sentiment went right along with it.

I created the background using cracked pistachio and peacock feather distress ink on watercolor cardstock. The multi-color twine is wrapped several times and the layer is popped up with foam tape. Wryn is colored with Copics, fussy cut, and also popped up for added dimension.

The sentiment is from the Papertrey Ink Birthday Classics: March stamp set.

The design team rocked this challenge so click here for more inspiration. Don't forget to link up your own project so you have a chance to win a store credit at the Tiddly Inks shop.

Tiddly Inks K-Cup Wrappers

Hi, everyone!

Today, I have a fun project to share for my Tiddly Inks Fabby Friday post.
K-Cup wrappers featuring the gorgeous Mini & Many Friends.

I made several of these for a birthday gift to my Mom back in April, using this tutorial as a guide. To wrap them all up, I stacked them in a tall glass vase wrapped in cellophane and added a bright giant bow.

Here are the Copics I used to color the image:

Tiddly Inks: Anything Goes Challenge

Hello, Tiddly Inks fans! It's time for another challenge - anything goes! I'm looking forward to seeing all of your wonderfully inspired creations.

I made this card using Set of Kittys when my sister and brother-in-law had to say an unexpected farewell to their kitty, Merlin. He was 18 years young and had lived a good life. I just love this photo of him.

I stamped the paw print background in pigment ink before mounting Mr. Kitty with foam tape on the stitched cover up companion diagonal. A dab of glossy accents on the nose and on the flowers add a little shine.

Hi everyone! Here's a little Tiddly Inks inspiration coming your way to get you excited about crafting this weekend. I made this birthday card for my Mom using Lilly Wryn.

She is colored up with Copics, cut out with my stitched rectangles dies and layered a few times to add dimension. A polka dot satin ribbon for the bow and two pearl embellishments finish off the card.

Up and Away Birthday Wishes

Hi everyone! Today I have a quick birthday card to share with you.

I blended on shaded lilac and dried marigold distress inks over a MFT stencil and stamped the sentiment in Memento tuxedo black. The bunny and balloons are colored with Copics and popped up with foam tape. A purple ribbon tied in a knot finishes off the card.

I will be entering this card in the following challenges:
