Toronto Blue Jays Birthday Invitations

Hi, everyone!! Today, I am sharing an adorable birthday invitation idea using customized game tickets and Cracker Jacks boxes.

My son requested a Toronto Blue Jays themed birthday party this year. Thanks to Printable Treats, I was able to download lots of party planning free printables. I used the cupcake toppers as tags on these treat boxes. I used the Mama Elephant Cali Letters stamp set to personalize the kids names on the back of each tag.

I also created the baseball tickets on Fake Ticket Generator using Style #2. You can even select your own colors to coordinate with your party theme.

These were so easy to put together and also very easy on the budget! Thanks for stopping by!!

A Modified Birthday Card

Hi, everyone!! I have a modified birthday card to share today. I created a basic birthday card with the happy word die and balloon die from MFT Blueprints 26 and the Lawn Fawn Scripty Sayings stamp set.

This basic card has been sitting in my stash for just over a year... that is, until this weekend when my son was going to attend a friend's birthday party. It was entirely too plain so I decided to make a few modifications.

I colored up a couple of the animals from the Mama Elephant Woodland Gifts stamp set. The little mouse is popped up with foam tape for added dimension.

For the inside sentiment, I personalized it for a 6-year-old's birthday using an Impression Obsession stamp set by Tami Potter from my stash. It must be retired because I couldn't find it on their webpage. I stamped the circle first in coordinating dye inks and then masked it off with a full-adhesive post-it note. Then I stamped the word "happy" multiple times using my Misti.

I enjoyed re-purposing this old card from my stash. Let me know in the comments if you've ever done something like this. Next time, I think I would use three different dye inks for the "happy" sentiment to create an ombre effect.

That's all I have for today. Thanks for stopping by!!

Thanks You Make My Tail Wag

Hi, everyone!! Today I have a fun card to share that I made with several My Favorite Things goodies. I am entering this card into the current MFT color challenge and also the sketch challenge.

This week's color challenge was the perfect combination of colors because when I placed my last order with MFT over the holidays, they threw in a surprise mystery gift which was a 4-cube ink pad set that included the summer splash and tropical teal colors! I didn't have any MFT inks in my collection so this was such a wonderful gift! Thank you so much!!

For this card, I used stamps from the BB You Make My Tail Wag and the BB Adorable Elephants sets. I used full-adhesive post-it notes for masking which allows the appearance of one dog sitting on top of the other dog. I also stretched by stamps by masking off part of the "thank you" sentiment.

The sentiment is stamped in Tropical Teal ink and I blended Summer Splash ink along the edges of the white stitched panel. Dried marigold distress ink is blended onto the edges of the sentiment banner.

All images are colored with Copics:

To finish off the card front, I added strips of washi tape to the card base before adding the popped up stitched panel. On the inside, I grounded a coordinating sentiment and the fire hydrant die cut with a single strip of washi tape.
