Tiddly Inks: Teachers Change the World

Hi, Tiddly Fans! Are you ready for Fabby Friday?

This week, I am featuring a teacher appreciation card using the new Wryn Proper School Girl digital stamp. These images were just released last week - the "teachers change the world" digi may have been a featured free download during the hop because I couldn't find a link to it in the store.

I merged the two image files in Silhouette Studio Designer Edition before printing them on cardstock. After coloring them with Copics, I trimmed the card down to A2 size and then ran it through my Big Kick to add the stitching. This is a one-layer card secured to a dark purple card base.

I wanted the images to be the focal point so I left off any embellishments. To add some visual interest, I gave the world, the ribbon on Wryn's hat and her blue dress a good dose from my Spectrum Noir sheer sparkle shimmer pen. It really looks beautiful when the light hits it!

The rest of the design team has more Fabby Friday inspiration for you here. Have a wonderful weekend and thanks for stopping by!!

Up, Up & Away...

Hi, everyone!! Today I have a card to share using my very first Mo's Digital Pencil image - airplane. I needed a birthday card for my son's 5-year-old friend who was having a party at the Virginia Air & Space Museum. When I came across this image, I couldn't resist and knew it would be perfect for the birthday boy.

I colored the image with Copics and fussy cut it out using scissors. The circle die cut, airplane image, and sentiment banner are all popped up with foam tape for dimension. The patterned paper backdrop gives the illusion that he's flying through the clouds.

When Lou announced this month's sketch, I thought it might actually work if you turn the sketch on its side. I'm also entering this card in the current SSS Wednesday Challenge: For a Child.

Here is the coordinating inside sentiment:

As a new fan of Mo's Digital Pencil, I really enjoyed designing with this image! For someone who is interested in building my collection, which digis are your go-to favorites? Please leave a comment below if you have time.

It's hard to narrow it down because they are all adorable!! Thanks for stopping by!!

Animal Fun - Tiddly Inks Blog Hop

Hey everyone!! Today we have a super duper special Tiddly Inks Blog Hop to showcase some fabulous new animal images that Christy just released today. The design team and guest designers are joining in but we also want our incredible Tiddly Inks fans to participate as well. This unique blog hop is open to the public!

I'm also super excited to see my coloring featured in this blog hop banner that Christy created. How fun!

This festive cat and dog are ready for the party!! They were the perfect focal point for this fun birthday card. The sentiment is also from the Tiddly Inks newest release.

My second card features this adorable fox. After coloring him with Copics, I found the perfect patterned cardstock to use for a background on this super fun easel card. I re-purposed the negative pieces of some alphabet dies I had used for another thank you card. I popped the letters up with foam tape for added interest.

Theme: Fun Animals

Tiddly Inks Autumn Glow Color Challenge #204

Hello, friends! A new challenge begins today over on the Tiddly Inks Challenge Blog.

Autumn Glow Color Challenge #204

This is a stunning color combo!! I really enjoyed using these gorgeous autumn colors with the Flower Fairy for You digital image. This set comes with 2 versions, with and without the doggie.

I started with dark brown woodgrain-textured cardstock for the base and added a layer of pinkish coral cardstock and a strip of light pink patterned cardstock on top. The sentiment is stamped in chocolate brown dye ink. After I had the image colored, I fussy cut it out with scissors and mounted it to the card front with foam tape. A few pearl embellishments finish off the card.

I used the following Copics to color the image:
Skin: E000|00|11
Hair: E42|43|44|47
Dress & Shoes: YR000|00|02
Wings: R00|RV10|BV20
Flowers: RV10|13|14 + YG03
Dog: E44|47|49

To draw attention to the wings, I also added some sparkle with my Spectrum Noir clear shimmer pen. It hard to capture in the photo but it really catches your eye in the light.

Well, now it's your turn! You have one month to link up your Autumn Glow themed projects for a chance to win a $10 gift certificate to the Tiddly Inks shop. While you're at it, don't forget to checkout the other projects my teammates have created for more inspiration.

Thanks for stopping by!
