Tiddly Inks: Grandma's Lilies

Hi, everyone! Today is Fabby Friday over on the Tiddly Inks Challenge Blog and my card features a newer digital stamp called Grandma's Lilies. Calla lilies have always been one of my favorite flowers so when Christy released this image, I knew I had to create a card with it.

I colored the image with Copics and then die cut that piece of cardstock with a mini stitched scallop rectangle frame. I popped up that panel with craft foam so that it would appear the image was overflowing along the edges.

I colored white seam binding with coordinating Copics to match, tied it into a bow and added a little tag in pink cardstock that says, "For You". I love the clean and simple look of this design.

You can find all of Christy's new images here. If you need more inspiration before you get crafty this weekend, feel free to check out the other projects created by the design team on the Tiddly Inks Challenge Blog. Thanks for stopping by!!

Learning is Fun!

Hi, everyone!! Today I am recuperating from a whirlwind birthday weekend! Here is the card that I created for my daughter. She loves to read and enjoys math so I thought the Learning is Fun! digital image from The Paper Shelter would be appropriate.

The printed background is a digital paper that came with the image so that's a win-win! I printed it on my color printer, slapped it on the square card base and fussy cut the image with scissors. An old scrap of white cardstock resurfaced from the piles of cardstock on my crafting desk that I repurposed for the popped-up sentiment panel. I blended on Tea Dye distress ink to soften the white edges and stamped my sentiment in black versafine ink.

The image was colored with Copics and popped up with foam tape. It was missing something so I added some enamel dots in coordinating colors.

Thanks for stopping by!!

World Card Making Day 2017

Hi, everyone!! Today crafters all over the world are celebrating World Card Making Day! I created this cool postcard showcasing the birthday invitation that I made for my daughter's 10th birthday party tomorrow.

My daughter is having her birthday party at a high ropes course called Go-Ape! so I knew the Tiddly Inks Monkey Around - Wryn digi would be perfect for this occasion. I printed her on my black and white laser printer with a computer generated sentiment then colored her with my Copics. I die cut the panel with my stitched rectangles die and matted that layer on turquoise cardstock. That panel is then mounted to a white card base with craft foam for more stability.

I left the card front clean and simple and wrapped some purple twine for additional texture and interest.

It's been such a busy week and I've been sleep deprived from crafting into the wee hours of the morning. But I have been fairly productive between working on my Kit and Clowder monthly coloring class project to crafting Tiddly Inks design team cards to finishing a Christmas card for an international holiday card swap that I committed to. I also took my daughter and her friend to a "Mommy & Me" sewing class last night and we had a blast making pillows. I ended up making two much-needed throw pillows for our couch!

Between baseball games and prepping for the birthday party, I do hope I will have time to make some cards today. What will you be working on this weekend for World Card Making Day???

Thanks for stopping by!!

Tiddly Inks Challenge #206: Spookaboo!

Hello, friends! A new challenge begins today over on the Tiddly Inks Challenge Blog.

Challenge #206: Spookaboo!!

I made this card using Too Cute to Spook - Witchy Wryn for a Halloween themed card. She is one of my go-to Tiddly Inks images for Halloween.

First I stamped the white card base using a diagonal stripes background stamp with Wilted Violet Distress Oxide ink and then wrapped it with an orange satin ribbon.

The image was colored with Copics and matted with a layer of purple cardstock. To finish off the card, I sprayed the panel with Sheer Shimmer Spritz which sparkles delightfully in person before mounting it to the card base with foam tape. I hot glued the satin bow on last.

Well, now it's your turn! You have one month to link up your Spooky themed projects for a chance to win a $10 gift certificate to the Tiddly Inks shop. My teammates also have some awesome projects using the new Halloween images that Christy just released!! If you are interested in getting your hands on them, I've included direct links in the supply list below.
